About the Role The IGNITE HBCU Excellence Act outlines a congressional plan to provide institutional grants for infrastructure, technology, and education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). It aims to deepen transformational work by expanding public and private investments, renovating facilities, preserving historic buildings, improving campus resilience and safety, expanding broadband access, strengthening community-based partnerships, and procuring equipment for high-quality research and instruction. What You'll Do
- Encourage additional public and private investments in HBCUs.
- Renovate, repair, modernize, or construct new campus facilities, including instructional, research, and residential spaces.
- Preserve buildings with historic significance.
- Ensure the resilience, safety, and sustainability of campus facilities.
- Provide access to campus-wide, reliable high-speed broadband to support digital learning and long-term technological capacity.
- Improve campus facilities to support community-based partnerships that provide students and community members with academic, health, and social services.
- Procure equipment and technology to facilitate high-quality research and instruction. What We're Looking For
