IFB Project Control Lead

About this role

About the Role This position will oversee the End-to-End IFB project control activities for the Insulin Facility Beijing (IFB). You will manage the project schedule, cost, risk, and change management for a mega project with approximately 1B€ Capex, currently in the design and construction phase.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage a team to deliver the End-to-End IFB Project, including the schedule with resource loading; implement Earned Value Management tracking tools, float analysis, and early/late progress curves.
  • Lead the development and management of an accurate cost forecast (spent vs. planned/invoicing vs. actuals, PO vs. actual) End-to-End for the IFB project.
  • Support the management, forecasting, reporting, and control of Project Change Management (Engineering and Construction Change Management).
  • Support the IFB Project Control team for Risk Assessment (manage the risk register) and determine appropriate use of risk and contingency allowances.
  • Manage and support timely preparation of weekly and monthly status reports and Steering Committee preparation.
  • Perform other supporting activities for the success of the project.

What We're Looking For

  • More than 10 years of experience in project control; experience on large projects from the client perspective.
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating, cost management, forecasting, and progress measurement.
  • Significant experience in contract and risk management.
  • Rigorous and analytical with strong problem-solving abilities; able to collaborate effectively across the organization and drive innovation.
  • Proven capability to develop teams to meet future project needs; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Technical skills in cost estimating, cash flow forecasting, change orders, and value analysis.
  • Education: BSc in Engineering, Accounting, or Business; Master’s in Construction Management is a plus.
  • Languages: Project language English; Mandarin is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in Construction Management is a plus.
  • Experience in large-scale manufacturing projects, preferably in healthcare/pharmaceutical settings.
