Job title: I&E / Maintenance Technician
About the Role Linde Inc. is seeking an I&E / Maintenance Technician in Hawkins, TX to perform instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical maintenance to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment in a safe and reliable manner. This role supports 24/7 industrial operations and involves collaboration across Hawkins, Garland, and Fort Worth facilities, with potential support at other locations as needed.
What You'll Do
- Perform instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical maintenance activities to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instrumentation and electrical systems up to 600V, including transmitters, PLCs, temperature and flow devices, and process analyzers.
- Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal plant performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble rotating equipment and mechanical systems (pumps, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, seals, gears, and related components).
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, and machine tools to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, blueprints, switchgear drawings, and electrical one-line diagrams.
- Follow SMPs, SOPs, safety policies, and procedures while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Utilize CMMS systems to plan, schedule, execute, and document maintenance activities, including parts procurement and work coordination.
- Perform repairs on mechanical piping systems (threaded and welded).
- Support plant startup and shutdown activities and document all predictive and corrective maintenance work.
- Supervise contractor activities and ensure compliance with safety requirements and work practices.
- Collaborate with technicians and operations personnel at the Hawkins, Garland, and Fort Worth facilities, with support at other locations as needed.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma; Associate degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing, production, maintenance, or processing environment.
- Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) experience or certification preferred; mechanical maintenance experience a strong plus.
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
- Welding and HVAC experience beneficial.
- Strong computer skills with maintenance systems, documentation tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a 24/7 operation.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to issues as needed.
- Ability and willingness to travel periodically for training and development opportunities.
Nice to Have
- Welding and HVAC experience.
- Additional certifications related to I&E maintenance.
