About this role
Job title: ICV Design Kit Product Development Manager
About the Role Lead and grow the ICV design kit development team, collaborating with EDA Product Management and R&D to streamline creation of ICV design kits (DRC, LVS, PERC, Fill) for advanced process nodes. Ensure timely development of critical kit versions to support first-source designs and key IP blocks, and help shape Synopsys' roadmap through ecosystem partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Support, manage and grow a team responsible for creating and executing ICV design kits aligned with Synopsys' broader business objectives at advanced process nodes.
- Establish and manage the requirements and technical collateral needed by advanced semiconductor process nodes to enable more complex designs faster using Synopsys offerings.
- Work closely with product management, R&D and sales to align node needs with product development and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with the Ecosystem Team, Product Management, Sales and R&D to align ICV design kits across Synopsys product lines and the ecosystem so all solutions support an end-to-end Synopsys flow for customer needs.
- Cultivate trust-based relationships across all levels within Synopsys to strengthen collaboration and swift problem resolution.
- Negotiate and influence with key industry leaders to expand Synopsys ecosystem relationships and advance initiatives.
- Balance leadership duties with individual-contributor contributions on special projects related to ICV design kit development.
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading a design-kit development team for ICV or similar semiconductor design kits (DRC, LVS, PERC, Fill).
- Strong knowledge of PDK and DRM, and ability to work with foundry partners to create design checks and coverage.
- Proven ability to collaborate across product management, R&D, sales, and ecosystem teams to align on roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, influence, and relationship-building skills with foundries, fabless companies and IP vendors.
- Strategic thinker with track record delivering complex design kits on aggressive schedules.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable contributing as an individual contributor on select projects.
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional leadership.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with foundry PDK and DRM teams to develop checks for coverage and anticipate future issues.
- Familiarity with advanced process nodes and ICV workflows.
- Background in ecosystem partnerships and product development for semiconductor design kits.
