Job title: ICT Infrastructure Engineer
About the Role
Design and operate Ascom's global ICT landscape, covering cloud, on-premise, networking, and communication platforms. You will act as a technical expert to ensure infrastructure services are operational, secure, and aligned with business needs while driving improvements across the global ICT organization. This role involves international collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and global teams in line with group-wide standards.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain server, networking, and cloud solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Install and configure software and networking systems; ensure stability and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and communication platform issues; ensure incidents are handled efficiently and root causes addressed.
- Lead and contribute to ICT infrastructure projects and initiatives; continuously improve systems across the ICT landscape.
- Train employees on new hardware and software solutions; support knowledge transfer and promote best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors; coordinate across global stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.

Proven experience in ICT infrastructure, networking, and enterprise IT environments.

Strong expertise in Microsoft server environments and system management tools; Networking (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN); Cloud and hybrid infrastructure.

Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk mitigation.

Experience in troubleshooting, system optimization, and operational support.

Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage or contribute to infrastructure projects.

Comfortable working in an international, multi-site corporate environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

6–10 years of experience in a similar ICT role.

Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have: Experience in multi-site corporate IT environments is a strong advantage.
