About this role

ICS School – UK Short-Term Insurance Training Programme

ICS School offers unemployed South Africans an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required to begin a career in the UK short-term insurance industry.

The programme consists of 3 months of online training, covering UK short-term insurance principles, industry practices and professional skills.

Training includes pre-recorded learning modules, lecturer support and assessments, allowing participants to work through structured course content and demonstrate their understanding.

What ICS provides:

  • 3-month training programme
  • Training materials, modules and lecturer support
  • Assessments to develop and evaluate your knowledge
  • The opportunity to progress into a 12-month paid work placement with one of our international insurance broker partners, subject to successful completion of the programme and applicable placement requirements

What participants must provide:

  • Their own laptop or desktop computer with webcam
  • Reliable internet connectivity (fibre connection of at least 30 Mbps recommended)
  • Time and commitment to complete all modules and assessments
  • Their own financial support during the unpaid 3-month training period

The training is completed entirely online, and applicants may reside anywhere in South Africa.

Following successful completion, selected graduates will be offered a 12-month entry-level employment opportunity with one of our broker partners, with the aim of developing a sustainable, long-term career in the insurance industry.

Important: No salary, stipend or financial allowance is payable during the initial 3-month training period.

The course is set to run from March to end May 2027.
