IC Validation Manager

About the Role Skyworks' IC Validation team leads post-silicon activities including chip bring-up, validation, and characterization of timing devices. In this management role based in Bengaluru, you will recruit and build a new team of validation and characterization engineers to support local Timing Design teams and oversee the New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle to ensure exceptional product quality and performance. A strong ability to debug and resolve performance issues quickly, along with teamwork and curiosity, is essential. What You'll Do

• Build and develop a new team of validation and characterization engineers to support the Timing Design team based out of the Skyworks Bengaluru office.
• Test and debug system and block functionality of new timing ICs.
• Perform silicon characterization through the development of robust and reusable tests to determine device datasheet specifications.
• Lead the design and development of high-speed PCBs (EEVBs), including discrete analog circuits, used for validation and characterization.
• Assemble and maintain test setups in the laboratory to support validation and characterization.
• Define, develop, and/or acquire software and/or hardware tools in support of silicon test efforts.
• Develop automation scripts to automate data collection, decrease data collection times, ensure repeatable measurements, and generate reports.
• Own post-processing the characterization data, conducting a detailed analysis (we use JMP for this purpose), and then reviewing the analyzed data with the IC design and market teams.
• Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle, as products cross from pre-silicon design to post-silicon validation to ensure exceptional product quality and performance. What We're Looking For
• Track record in building and leading a team of validation and characterization engineers, with proven recruitment and people development capabilities.
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to quickly resolve performance issues.
• Positive attitude and a strong disposition for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with high-speed PCBs (EEVBs), lab instrumentation, and hands-on test setups.
• Proficiency in automation scripting and developing software/hardware tools to support silicon test efforts.
• Ability to perform detailed data analysis (experience with JMP is a plus) and communicate results to IC design and market teams.
• Familiarity with the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle and post-silicon validation. Nice to Have
• Experience in timing devices (crystal oscillators, clock generators, jitter attenuators, network synchronizers) and related timing portfolios.
