About the Role Join The Lawson Group, a New Hampshire-based IAQ consulting team with nearly 50 years protecting workplaces. As an IAQ Expert, you’ll help identify and solve indoor air quality concerns for businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, and homes across New England using a practical, people-first approach.
What You'll Do
- Listen to occupant concerns and learn what they’re experiencing and when.
- Evaluate the environment, including air exchange, filtration adequacy, moisture, odors, and comfort levels.
- Conduct targeted IAQ testing if needed (air sampling, mold/allergen analysis, VOC detection, HVAC assessments) and determine the best methods to address concerns.
- Share findings with building occupants before, during, and after testing, and discuss practical solutions.
- Provide practical, root-cause recommendations to address IAQ issues and reduce repeat concerns.
- Collaborate with certified industrial hygienists and health & safety consultants specializing in IAQ across a range of settings (schools, hospitals, offices, manufacturing facilities).
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of IAQ concepts and testing methods, with experience across settings like schools, hospitals, offices, and manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to interview occupants to understand concerns and evaluate environmental factors.
- Certification such as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to engage with clients to determine concerns and the best methods to address them.
- NH-based team experience or being based in New Hampshire is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Local familiarity with New Hampshire climate and building stock.
- Experience with mold testing and remediation consulting as part of IAQ investigations.
