I & E Technician

About the Role IFF is seeking an I & E Technician to support on-site maintenance for production and plant equipment in Jacksonville, FL. The role covers mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and facility tasks to keep operations safe and productive. What You'll Do

• Support maintenance personnel with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and facility maintenance activities.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production and plant equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and calibration tasks.
• Help assemble, transport, and install material handling and maintenance equipment.
• Support facility maintenance projects including site preparation, drain cleaning, concrete work, and minor construction activities.
• Assist in repairing pumps, piping systems, motors, valves, and other production equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with safety and quality documentation requirements.
• Contribute to a safe work environment by following all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely use common maintenance and trade tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and support rotating schedules as needed.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle maintenance materials and equipment safely.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred. Nice to Have
• Technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience working in a chemical, manufacturing, food, beverage, or industrial production environment.
• Exposure to PLCs, instrumentation, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), or welding activities. Compensation & Benefits
