Job title: Hydro Test Operator
About the Role Join Saipem as Hydro Test Operator for the Mag Jupiter project, stationed Offshore Qatar. You will operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on pipeline pre-commissioning equipment, enabling safe and efficient activities such as flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrotesting, dewatering and air drying.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor pre-commissioning equipment as per procedures and supervisor’s instruction.
- Ensure proper setup and alignment of equipment and connections (hoses, fittings, manifolds).
- Maintain safe operating pressures, flow rates, and chemical injection levels.
- Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting on pumps, compressors, and dryers.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth and continuous operation during pre-commissioning.
- Record equipment parameters and support daily equipment operating log reporting.
- Follow safety protocols and assist in emergency response when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the equipment operating area.
What We're Looking For
- Education: ITI / Technical Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years operating pipeline pre-commissioning equipment offshore/onshore.
- Hands-on experience with operating and troubleshooting of: Centrifugal Pumps, HP Piston Pumps, Diesel Generators, Air Compressors, Desiccant Air Dryers.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
- Physically fit for onshore site conditions.
- Good communication in English language and teamwork skills.
- Languages: English Language skills required (and any other specified by Project).
