Job Purpose

The Hydraulic Engineering team is responsible for the design, validation, and integration of hydraulic systems and components across CNH machinery. By ensuring reliable system performance, the team plays a critical role in supporting equipment productivity and advancing new product development.

As a Hydraulic System Engineer Intern, you will work closely with a team of five hydraulic engineers—one of whom will serve as your mentor—to gain hands-on experience in system design, validation planning, and prototype support.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting system and component design work for hydraulic applications in agricultural and construction machinery

  • Assisting in the creation and execution of validation plans to ensure performance, durability, and safety requirements are met

  • Contributing to prototype machine builds, helping integrate hydraulic systems and resolve engineering challenges

  • Collaborating with engineers to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements

  • Learning industry standards and applying engineering practices to support both new product development and continuous improvement efforts

  • Experience Required

  • Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.

  • The annual salary for this role is $23.69 - $25.75 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
