About the Role Johnson Controls is seeking a union HVAC Truck Based Chiller Mechanic to support field operations in Baton Rouge, LA. This full-time role focuses on on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of truck-based chiller systems, ensuring reliability and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of truck-based chiller units and associated HVAC equipment.
- Travel to customer sites as needed and coordinate with the union workforce.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards; document service activities and reports.
- Provide proactive recommendations for system optimization and energy efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as an HVAC technician with knowledge of chiller systems and the ability to service truck-based equipment.
- Willingness to work in a field/service environment in Baton Rouge, LA; ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; safety-conscious; able to work in a union setting.
