Job title: HVAC Technician
Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support the fast-growing North America HVAC business. This role involves startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and aftermarket service for residential and/or ducted systems, including air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs and rooftop units. You’ll have opportunities for factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement.
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site service and support for residential and/or ducted HVAC systems, including air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs, and rooftop units, with startup, commissioning and aftermarket service.
- Serve as trusted advisor to customers, delivering solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service; provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and identify upsell opportunities; prepare quotes.
- Complete factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA) with recognition, monetary rewards and advancement opportunities.
- Travel 10-20% to support branch customers startup.
What We're Looking For
- Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
- Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business.
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on Residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs or Rooftop ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers system components.
- Travel may be required 10% to 20% to support Branch Customers startup.
