Job Description

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician HVAC performs manufacturing, production, and non-production machine and equipment maintenance. Performs skilled preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum up-time. The HVAC technician will work on ALL equipment at the facility.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: $37.59 per hour

Responsibilities

• Receives and manages time sensitive work order assignments.

• Reads electrical diagrams, and blueprints and repairs heating and cooling systems.

• Troubleshoots & repairs production & non-production machines and equipment.

• Troubleshoots and repair motor, control, and drive systems, heating and cooling equipment, industrial control systems, and lighting electrical systems.

• Interfaces with and utilizes Building Automation Systems on BACnet or LON.

• Performs some metal fabrication and welding.

• Drives lift equipment and can work at heights up to 45’.

• All other duties assigned.

• Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least five years of manufacturing maintenance experience servicing production related equipment

• Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • Must have organization skills, effective communication skills with both technical and professional staff

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on all industrial systems.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance

• Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency

• Ability to demonstrate overall safe work behavior; including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

• Moderate lifting and carrying 15-35 pounds

• Use of fingers, both hands, reaching and working above shoulders

• Depth perception required

• Able to walk, stand, crawl, climb, kneel, bend up to 10 hours per day

• Climbing using both legs and arms

• Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of colors

• Hearing (aid permitted)

• This position is safety sensitive and may involve the operation of vehicles, operation of equipment, and/or involve work with power tools, or handling of hazardous materials, that could result in injury or damage to person/property/manufacturing process

• Must be willing to work any shift

• Desired Skills

• Desired Electrical or Maintenance Journeyman license

• Associates Degree or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance

• At least three years of manufacturing electrical experience servicing production related electrical systems and equipment

• At least three years of experience in troubleshooting, installing and repairing production equipment, welding, robotic technology, VFDs, conduit, electrical panels, power/control wire and building automation

• Previous experience with manufacturing painting robotic equipment

• Experience with Microsoft Office

• Possess a expert working knowledge and understanding of industrial electrical systems with the ability to use a Volt/Ohm, Meter

• Expert knowledge and understanding of industrial voltages, 24 to 480 volt

• Expert knowledge of hand tools, ability to disassemble and reassemble using proper equipment

• Expert knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components

• Expert knowledge of industrial safety requirements related to hazardous, flammable and explosive materials and environments

• Expert knowledge of preventive maintenance
