HVAC Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Role involves operating and maintaining the HVAC and related building services to ensure compliant, safe and efficient facility operations. You will manage BMS/EMS and water systems, drive preventive maintenance, and maintain documentation and qualification activities in a GMP environment. You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to deliver reliable facilities and cost-effective operations. What You'll Do

• Ensure operation, maintenance & compliance of HVAC systems (AHU, hot water generation, heat pump).

• Ensure operation, maintenance & compliance of BMS/EMS and water systems (Ozone, UF, RO+EDI, PW water distribution, WFI, Pure steam generation, IRF+UF & Vapor compression distiller system).

• Prepare periodic operation, maintenance, calibration reports.

• Lead audits and compliance activities; ensure regulatory/legal compliance and adhere to Good Engineering Practices (GEP).

• Maintain engineering documentation – SOPs, calibration, preventive maintenance, training programs & periodic validation.

• Monitor building and facility maintenance; ensure assets utilized per SOPs.

• Coordinate cross-functional activities and maintain system documentation during qualification.

• Plan and execute Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) for engineering equipment.

• Record and report achievements, mistakes, best practices, mishaps and value additions for corrective actions with L+1, HOD and Plant SLT.

• Implement Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), FMEA, RCA and provide training to develop competence and improve maintenance processes.

• Ensure drawings and technical specifications are updated; coordinate with internal/external vendors for routine maintenance, operation contracts and in-house projects.

• Prepare and review Quality Management System documents (change control, incidents, deviations, risk assessment and impact assessment).

• Ensure Quality Compliance Program audits are completed as scheduled and action plans are implemented.

• Prepare and reviewing qualification documents URS, SAT, DQ, IQ, OQ and PQ protocols and summary reports; execute validation/qualification protocols.

• Knowledge of ISO & OHSAS documentation.

• Implement safety standards and compliance; introduce initiatives to reduce cost and save energy.

• Procure spares/resources for maintenance through SAP. What We're Looking For

• Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech.

• Experience: 5 to 8 years in HVAC/BMS/EMS and validated facility environments.

• Preferably exposure to pharmaceutical/regulated environments with GMP mindset; strong documentation and cross-functional coordination. Nice to Have

• Familiarity with ISO & OHSAS documentation and SAP-based procurement; energy management initiatives.
