About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair activities related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Train, mentor, and support HVAC technicians in their daily tasks while evaluating performance and providing constructive feedback.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to determine project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, providing efficient and effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of completion reports, service logs, and inventory management.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess the progress of ongoing work and ensure quality control.
• Manage resource allocation effectively, optimizing team performance and minimizing downtime.

Requirements

• Proven track record in HVAC installation, maintenance, or related fields with hands-on experience.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and associated controls and tools.

• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.

• Good problem-solving abilities with a focused approach to safety and compliance.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record are essential for this role.

• Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards in South Africa is advantageous.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in HVAC technology or a related field is highly desirable.

• Previous experience in project management or supervisory roles within the HVAC industry.

• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management practices.

• Additional certifications in safety or quality management will be beneficial.
