About the Role Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Equipment Service Journeyman Technician to service and maintain HVAC equipment in Irving, Texas. This on-site role supports critical building operations and customer satisfaction by ensuring reliable climate control performance.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on HVAC equipment and systems.
- Install, service, and commission HVAC machinery and controls.
- Read electrical schematics and use test instruments to troubleshoot issues.
- Document service activities, energy usage, and parts usage; maintain safety and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with technicians and field staff to ensure timely, high-quality service.
What We're Looking For
- Journeyman HVAC technician with relevant license or equivalent experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Nice to Have
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems and refrigerant handling.
- Industry certifications such as EPA 608, NATE, or equivalent.
