Job title: HVAC Control Systems Technician
About the Role Join Johnson Controls as an HVAC Control Systems Technician responsible for troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance of HVAC control systems across customer facilities. You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage controls to deliver reliable, efficient building performance and service outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Perform HVAC control systems troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance related to mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage control components.
- Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools and a variety of hand tools, electrical testing meters, and other electronic testing equipment.
- Provide frontline technical and repair support through effective communication with Johnson Controls customers.
- Provide system repair and/or update recommendations and assist in proposing solutions to Johnson Controls customers.
- Be part of an expanding team of technicians while building a career with a global organization.
- Deliver the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items as a trusted advisor.
- Load field and network level controller software and conduct commissioning and system diagnostics for controllers and end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.), completing required documentation.
- Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment; document changes for as-built records.
- Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders about progress and issues; ensure safety standards are followed.
- Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team responsible for system trouble shooting, repair, and aftermarket services.
- Engage in electrical and electronics troubleshooting and administrative tasks (time sheets, expense reports, on-site documentation).
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
