Volt is immediately hiring for Human Resources Specialist in Hoffman Estates, IL.
As an Human Resoures Specialist you will:
- Serve as the first point of contact for colleague inquiries related to HRIS transactions and HR policies via phone and email.
- Assess colleague questions to determine nature of problem and to resolve the issue(s) or escalate to higher levels of technical/functional support.
- Provide timely and accurate information to colleagues and managers on HR-related issues.
- Initiate the onboarding platform within UKG for new hires.
- Assist with colleague exit processes and final paperwork.
- Complete password resets and role assignments in UKG.
- Log and track calls to look for areas to improve HR process training and reference guide materials and will be responsible for updating such documentation.
This is a full time opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems (UKG & Workday).
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with background checks and drug testing processes required.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
