Job title: Human Resources Manager
About the Role Join CFAO Mobility as HR Manager based in South Africa. You will oversee all aspects of human resources management to support business efficiency and employee engagement, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, training and development, compensation and benefits, and performance management. You will partner with leadership to foster a high‑performing, compliant, and positive workplace culture within a dynamic automotive/mobility environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead recruitment across all departments and oversee the full recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning to interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and develop talent, drive retention through skill development, engagement, and growth opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters; ensure fair and consistent policy application and maintain bargaining council relationships for compliance.
- Design, implement, and manage a performance management system that drives a high‑performance culture; ensure metrics are communicated and reviewed.
- Administer competitive compensation packages by developing and implementing payroll frameworks, including salary structures, bonuses, and allowances, with alignment to market trends and labor agreements.
- Design and manage incentive programs and oversee bonus/remuneration frameworks linked to performance.
- Oversee the digitisation of HR processes, including data management, reporting, and compliance tracking using SAGE and other relevant tools.
- Leverage HR data to generate insights that support strategic decision-making and improve organisational effectiveness; lead change initiatives and restructures with clear stakeholder communication.
- Ensure HR policies and documentation meet legal standards, reducing risk and maintaining audit readiness.
- Proactively manage HR projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism and discretion.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; relevant postgraduate degree with HR certifications advantageous.
- Minimum 5–8 years’ generalist HR experience at a similar level; MibCo experience preferred; automotive industry experience advantageous.
- Competencies include leading by example, data‑driven decision making, dispute mediation, change management, clear policy articulation, HR data interpretation, legal compliance, and multi‑project delivery under pressure.
- Technical prerequisites: deep knowledge of employment legislation and labour relations; experience developing/enforcing HR policies; payroll systems, benefits administration, market‑aligned salary structures; proficiency with HRIS, HR analytics, and reporting; knowledge of DEI and wellness initiatives; ability to analyse metrics and lead HR initiatives.
Nice to Have
- Experience with MibCo and the automotive industry.
- Proficiency with SAGE HR/payroll system; advanced HR analytics capabilities.
- Experience managing HR in a diverse, multicultural environment and through organisational change.
