Human Resources (HR) Business Partner

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders and employees in Oak Brook, Illinois through a Contract position. This role focuses on strengthening workplace practices, advising on employee relations matters, and helping managers apply people policies consistently and effectively. The ideal candidate brings a balanced approach to coaching, investigations, and performance support while contributing to day-to-day HR administration.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers and employees on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and appropriate employee relations practices.

• Conduct and document employee relations reviews and investigations, ensuring matters are handled fairly, promptly, and in alignment with company guidelines.

• Partner with leadership to address performance issues, recommend corrective actions, and support effective resolution plans.

• Provide guidance on HR policies and help ensure consistent application across teams and functions.

• Support routine human resources administration, including employee documentation, case tracking, and related follow-up activities.

• Collaborate with business leaders to identify workforce concerns and recommend practical HR solutions that support team effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate records related to employee relations matters while protecting confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.

• Contribute to process improvements within HR operations when changes to internal workflows or systems affect employee support activities.
