TalentMatch®

Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies. We offer contract, temporary and permanent placement solutions for finance and accounting, technology, marketing and creative, legal, and administrative and customer support roles.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Administrator to support day-to-day HR operations for a dynamic Oregon-based team on a part-time, long-term contract basis. This role is critical to ensuring a positive employee experience by providing administrative support across onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR record management.

The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional support to employees and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and supervisors by responding to routine questions and helping resolve day-to-day workplace matters with appropriate documentation.

  • Coordinate recruitment activities for both hourly and salaried openings, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, offer preparation, and pre-employment steps such as background checks.

  • Lead onboarding for new employees by organizing orientation sessions, collecting employment documents, and ensuring all records are completed accurately and stored properly.

  • Update and maintain employee information across HR and payroll systems, processing changes related to staff additions, transfers, promotions, leaves, and separations.

  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration by reviewing timekeeping updates, supporting enrollment activity, and answering employee questions related to available programs.

  • Prepare recurring HR reports, maintain personnel files, and support audit readiness through organized recordkeeping and accurate documentation.

  • Help uphold compliance with workplace policies and employment regulations by tracking required forms, postings, certifications, and reporting deadlines.

  • Coordinate training schedules, maintain completion records, and support employee engagement efforts such as internal communications, recognition activities, and team events.

  • Partner with safety and operational teams to support new employee safety orientation, workers’ compensation documentation, and return-to-work processes.

  • At least 3 years of experience in human resources, payroll, office administration, or a closely related field.

  • Working knowledge of HR administration, employee documentation, benefit functions, and employment compliance practices.

  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, background checks, and employee record maintenance.

  • Proficiency with payroll systems, HR databases, Microsoft Office applications, and preparing legal forms or related employment documentation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle legal correspondence and employee interactions professionally.

  • Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and collaborate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred; experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
