Job title: Human Resources Generalist
About the Role The Human Resources Generalist provides daily HR support to the Mentor facility in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. This role includes recruiting hourly employees to meet plant staffing requirements and overseeing the new hire onboarding process, including orientation, benefits administration, and employee record keeping.
What You'll Do
- Recruit qualified candidates for all hourly positions to meet plant production requirements; maintain tracking and reporting system.
- Build and maintain all hourly and non-exempt salaried employee files. Communicate with payroll, training and divisional headquarters as required.
- Keep ADP up to date and accurate, as well as maintaining employee timecard and badge systems.
- Manage relationships with temporary recruiting firms and Ohio Bureau of Employment Services consistent with organizational goals and ethical practices.
- Utilize best recruiting practices to reduce plant turnover and overall recruiting costs.
- Assist with administering hourly and salary benefit programs including orientation, registration, records keeping, and communication.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, with recruiting and onboarding responsibilities; familiarity with I-9 processing and affirmative action plans.
- Experience maintaining employee files, payroll coordination, training liaison, and timekeeping systems.
- Knowledge of compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; ability to work with external agencies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work onsite at the Mentor, OH facility.
