Job title: Human Resources Generalist
About the Role The HR Generalist provides daily HR support for the Mentor facility in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, focusing on recruiting hourly employees, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee records.
What You'll Do
- Recruit qualified candidates for all hourly positions to meet plant production requirements; maintain tracking and reporting systems.
- Maintain and file all hourly and non-exempt salaried employee records; coordinate with payroll, training, and divisional HQ as required.
- Keep ADP up to date and accurate; manage timecard and badge systems.
- Manage relationships with temporary recruiting firms and Ohio Bureau of Employment Services.
- Utilize best recruiting practices to reduce plant turnover and recruiting costs.
- Administer hourly and salary benefits programs including orientation, registration, records keeping, communication, and problem troubleshooting.
- Prioritize and coordinate a wide variety of HR tasks including personnel files, medical records, job evaluations, and benefits administration.
- Administer employee welfare programs (logo clothing, holiday party, luncheon, staff cookout).
- Maintain positive employee relations by cooperating with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor; other responsibilities as required.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of the human resources discipline.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or MBA in Human Resources/Business.
