Human Resources (HR) Coordinator

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support hiring and onboarding activities for a busy healthcare environment. This contract position with potential for a permanent role will serve as a key point of coordination among candidates, external vendors, regional leadership, and hospital teams to help ensure a smooth pre-employment process. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, manages multiple priorities effectively, and maintains accuracy while supporting a steady flow of new team members.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new team members and help ensure all pre-employment steps are completed on schedule.

  • Communicate with candidates, vendor partners, regional managers, and hospital contacts to provide updates and resolve questions throughout the recruitment process.

  • Track background checks, screenings, and related recruitment requirements, following up as needed to keep each case moving forward.

  • Maintain accurate employee and candidate records within HR systems and confirm documentation is complete and up to date.

  • Manage a high-volume workload, supporting approximately 25 to 30 individuals in different stages of onboarding at one time.

  • Review incoming test results and other required employment documents for completeness and timely processing.

  • Monitor compliance with HR policies and recruitment procedures to support a consistent and audit-ready onboarding process.

  • Previous experience in HR coordination, onboarding, or human resources administration.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with accuracy and discretion.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Experience supporting background checks, screenings, or other pre-employment verification activities.

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and comfort maintaining electronic employee records.

  • Ability to stay organized while handling a high-volume workload and competing deadlines.

  • Knowledge of HR compliance standards and documentation requirements in a structured work setting.
