Human Resources (HR) Assistant
We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join a growing IT software organization in Westlake, Texas. This Contract to Permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting both employees and HR operations with accuracy and professionalism. In this role, you will help coordinate key people processes, maintain organized records, and contribute to a positive employee experience across the business.
Responsibilities

Guide new employees through onboarding steps, collect required documentation, and help ensure a smooth start to employment.

Keep personnel files, HR databases, and supporting records accurate, current, and organized for day-to-day use.

Schedule interviews, communicate with applicants throughout the hiring process, and assist with recruitment coordination.

Support benefit-related activities by helping with enrollment tasks, employee questions, and administrative follow-up.

Prepare employment verification materials, personnel documents, and other HR-related correspondence as needed.

Assist with job postings, applicant tracking activities, and general recruiting support for open positions.

Create reports, internal communications, and routine documentation to support HR initiatives and leadership requests.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and general HR matters in a thorough and timely manner.

Help uphold compliance with company guidelines and applicable employment regulations through consistent administrative support.

Provide broad administrative assistance to the HR team and management, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and coordination tasks.

At least 1 year of experience in human resources support or a related administrative role is preferred.

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

Working knowledge of HR processes and familiarity with employment law principles is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience using HRIS platforms or other human resources information systems is preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Demonstrated attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
