We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Location: Osogbo, Osun

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all human resource activities within the hotel.
  • The role involves recruitment, employee relations, staff development, performance management, compliance with company policies, and ensuring a positive and professional working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective HR policies, procedures, and strategies in line with the hotel's objectives.

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.

  • Prepare appointment letters, employment contracts, confirmation letters, warning letters, and other HR-related documents.

  • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, leave, and general employee conduct.

  • Coordinate staff orientation, training, development, and performance appraisal programs.

  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, conflicts, and other workplace concerns professionally.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, employment regulations, and applicable labour laws.

  • Work closely with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure adequate manpower.

  • Prepare regular HR reports for management, including staff strength, recruitment, turnover, attendance, and disciplinary matters.

  • Assist management with payroll-related information, salary reviews, and other employee benefits.

  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, discipline, and good customer-service standards among employees.

  • Organize staff meetings, welfare activities, and other employee engagement initiatives.

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.

  • Carry out other HR-related duties assigned by management.

  • Good knowledge of recruitment and employee selection processes.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Good conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other office applications.

  • Strong understanding of employee relations and workplace policies.

  • Professional attitude, integrity, maturity, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the hotel.

  • Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Management, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or other relevant certification will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or personnel management.
  • Previous experience in the hotel, hospitality, or service industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, staff performance, and disciplinary processes is required.
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce and multiple departments will be an advantage.
