About the Role The Human Genetics Data Scientist will contribute to cutting-edge research in human genetics at Novartis. The role focuses on applying data science and computational methods to genetic data to advance drug discovery. What You'll Do
- Develop and apply statistical models and machine learning methods to genetic datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret results and translate findings into actionable insights
- Design, implement, and optimize analysis workflows with emphasis on reproducibility and data quality
- Contribute to internal reports and scientific communications What We're Looking For
- PhD or equivalent in genetics, bioinformatics, statistics, or a related field (or relevant industry experience)
- Strong programming skills in Python or R and experience with large-scale data analyses
- Experience with genomic data types (sequencing, GWAS, etc.) and solid statistical background
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
