About this role
A full-time HSE Supervisor is needed by Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited in Lagos to oversee health, safety and environmental activities. The role focuses on ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across the site, contributing to a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hazards identification and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
- Develop, implement and maintain safety procedures, standards, and programs in line with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Promote a safety culture through training, communication, and ongoing safety initiatives.
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies; coordinate audits and inspections.
- Participate in incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and near-miss reporting; implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure safe operation of processes and preparedness for emergencies; assist in emergency response planning.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records, ensuring proper reporting and record-keeping.
Requirements
- Minimum of an HND in Sciences.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
- HSE Level 3 Supervisory certification; NEBOSH qualification is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
