Job title: HSE Officer Nordic Region
About the Role The HSE Officer will join ALS Geochemistry division in the Nordic region, based in Piteå, and will drive HSE, sustainability, and compliance across our Nordic operations. The role combines strategic development of HSE processes with hands-on execution to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.
What You'll Do
- Drive and develop a strong HSE, sustainability, and compliance culture across sites and the Nordic region.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, internal policies, and global standards.
- Implement and monitor HSE programs, processes, and ways of working across sites and the region.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident management, and preventive actions to reduce injuries and risks.
- Support the business in interactions with authorities and relevant authorities.
- Participate in and lead internal and external HSE audits.
- Ensure HSE training and awareness programs are delivered and followed up.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- A degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety or similar.
- Several years of experience working with HSE and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
- A structured, independent planner who can drive work; strong communicator; analytical and solution-oriented; responsible, detail-oriented, and professional.
- Fluency in English and Swedish (written and spoken); knowledge of Finnish is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within the Nordic region.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Finnish is considered an advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
- Permanent full-time based in Piteå, Sweden with a 6-month trial period. Salary not disclosed.
