About this role

Company Description

Welcome to Kanadevia Inova, a global innovation leader in the waste infrastructure space, where we believe in creating a sustainable future through technology and innovation.

Transforming Waste into Value

At Kanadevia Inova, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of waste-to-X technology. We are not just waste managers; we are creators of value from what communities discard. Your role at Kanadevia Inova directly contributes to turning something once considered useless - waste - into something invaluable: energy, heat, hydrogen, fertilizer, and beyond.

Job Description

Kanadevia Inova is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities across our UK & Ireland operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director for Systems & Service Solutions UK & Ireland and working closely with the global HSE team, you will drive HSE compliance, culture, training, auditing, and continuous improvement across site and office-based activities. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring regular site engagement with field service and construction teams, ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained while supporting operational excellence in a challenging industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote HSE excellence across all UK & Ireland construction, service, maintenance, and office activities.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE plans, procedures, risk assessments, and compliance programs in line with corporate and legal requirements.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver HSE training, emergency preparedness exercises, safety communications, and support managers and employees on occupational health and safety matters.
  • Act as the key HSE focal point for internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies, while providing regular reporting, performance analysis, and improvement recommendations.
  • This posting reflects the main responsibilities of the position and is not exhaustive. Additional duties and expectations may be discussed during the recruitment process.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification, with recognised Occupational Health & Safety certification.
  • Minimum 5 years' HSE leadership experience within construction, industrial service, maintenance, energy, or large-scale project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and standards including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, SCC, and relevant UK HSE regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, training, and stakeholder management skills, with a practical and solution-focused approach.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60%) across the UK and Europe; auditing qualifications and investigation experience are advantageous.

Additional Information

At Kanadevia Inova, you'll be part of a global business that is transforming waste into valuable resources and helping to build a more sustainable future. In return, we offer a competitive rewards package, opportunities for professional growth, international career development, and the chance to work alongside industry-leading experts on complex and impactful projects.
