About the Role The HSE Expert ensures compliance with occupational safety, health and environmental (HSE) regulations on site and leads prevention and health promotion initiatives. You will partner with leadership and teams to develop safe, human-centered work systems and drive continuous improvement in HSE processes. What You'll Do
- Advise and support responsible leaders and employees in the areas of occupational safety, health and environmental protection, and assist in preparing hazard assessments, risk analyses and operating instructions
- Contribute to planning and design of safe, healthy and human-centered work systems
- Coordinate site inspections in collaboration with internal partners
- Conduct accident investigations after incidents
- Develop and maintain preventive measures to preserve performance and promote health
- Take on core tasks and develop concepts in occupational safety, health and fire protection
- Plan, implement, monitor and optimize HSE processes in line with internal and external guidelines
- Regular reporting and communication to management and internal/external recipients; prepare information and motivation actions on HSE topics
- Create site-specific reports on HSE metrics
- Coordinate and collaborate with external service providers (occupational physician, etc.)
- Regularly review and document new or changing laws to derive necessary actions for the company
- Support in conducting and evaluating internal and external audits and inspections (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Berufsgenossenschaft, authorities, 6S ...)
- Create, update and partly conduct training for employees on HSE topics
- Coordinate measurements related to occupational safety and environmental protection regulations
- Technical coordination of all environmental and fire protection topics What We're Looking For
- Completed vocational training and certification as a safety specialist under § 7 ASiG with at least 2 years of professional experience
- Knowledge of common occupational, health and environmental regulations and relevant technical rules
- Ideally experience in the development and coordination of HSE concepts and in working with external service providers and audits (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
