About the Role The Human Resource Specialist – Recruiting works under the minimal supervision of the Human Resource Manager and is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates in line with company goals and culture. The role requires strong knowledge of recruiting practices, and thorough familiarity with equal employment opportunity regulations and the organization’s affirmative action program. What You'll Do
- Manage and lead collaborative recruiting efforts that can scale to organizational needs.
- Confer with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, and required qualifications.
- Develop recruitment strategies and write/place job advertisements; coordinate internal postings.
- Build relationships with schools, public organizations, recruiters, and agencies to source candidates.
- Use internet recruiting sources; participate in job fairs; present organization and opportunities.
- Screen, interview, and schedule candidates; coordinate travel for out-of-town applicants.
- Manage recruitment budgets; define data-driven hiring metrics and goals; maintain job descriptions library.
- Develop process documentation and collaborate with HR staff to enhance programs for attracting and retaining candidates.
- Administer EEO/AA program to ensure compliance; analyze hiring data; develop training on sourcing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Maintain/upkeep of employee handbook and ensure updates. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma/GED and two years of HR experience; associate degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of recruiting/hiring practices, compliance, and related laws; EEO/AAP compliance.
- Ability to work with external recruiters and employment agencies; strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Minimum job requirements include data-driven thinking and budget awareness; ability to maintain compliant processes.
- Willingness to work onsite in Tucson, AZ. Nice to Have
