About the Role
BBA Motors Limited is seeking a proactive, organised, and people-focused HR Specialist to support the effective management of the employee lifecycle and contribute to the development of a structured, professional, and high-performing workplace. The successful candidate will support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance and leave administration, employee relations, performance management, HR documentation, and other people-related processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, assessments, and documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel records and HR databases.
- Manage employee attendance, leave, resumption, absence, and related HR records.
- Prepare HR reports, trackers, letters, memos, and other employment documentation.
- Support the administration of employment contracts, confirmation, promotion, transfers, and other employee movements.
- Assist in monitoring employee performance and performance appraisal processes.
- Support employee relations and address workplace concerns in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in implementing employee welfare, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Support payroll preparation by providing accurate attendance, leave, staff movement, and other relevant HR information.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Ensure HR processes comply with company policies and applicable labour requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, SOPs, forms, and administrative procedures.
- Assist with disciplinary and corrective-action processes where required.
- Coordinate staff communication and HR-related announcements.
- Support training, staff development, and employee engagement activities.
- Maintain proper documentation of HR activities and ensure records are easily retrievable.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in Human Resources or a related people-management function.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance, leave, and HR administration.
- Good understanding of Nigerian employment and workplace practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, or HR management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with employees at different levels.
- Professional HR certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
