HR Manager

Overview

The Manager, SC HRBP - Horse Cave Campus is the day-to-day HR business partner to the Sister Shubert’s (SSHC) and Marzetti Dressing (MZHC) site leadership teams. Reporting to the onsite Human Resources Director, this role translates campus people strategy into strong execution across both facilities, coaches leaders and leads local HR operations.

The HR Director owns campus people strategy and serves as HRBP to the Site Leaders; the Manager is accountable for the employee experience and HR operations outcomes delivered through the local team and HR partners.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Campus People Strategy
Translate campus people strategy into clear priorities and consistent execution across the SSHC and MZHC sites.
Serve as a trusted HR business partner to both site leadership teams, using workforce insight and sound judgment to address people and business priorities.
Partner with the HR Director on emerging workforce, talent and organizational needs while maintaining a visible presence across both facilities and shifts.
Use workforce data and trends to improve staffing, retention, attendance and engagement.
Talent & Leadership Capability
Support workforce planning, talent reviews, succession, performance management and development.
Coach leaders to strengthen accountability, team performance and people leadership capability.
Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition to strengthen hourly staffing, onboarding and retention and support organizational change.
Employee Experience
Own day-to-day associate relations, including performance, attendance, policy interpretation, workplace concerns and corrective action.
Support investigations with Employee Relations and partner with the HR Director on sensitive, complex or escalated matters.
Ensure strong outcomes across payroll, HR systems and records, leave and policy administration, compliance and other local HR processes.
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver enterprise programs effectively.
Lead and develop two HR Coordinators and one Site Administrator, setting clear priorities and accountability for results.
Coordinate the onsite HR support model, including onsite recruiting support, to deliver an effective team member and leader experience.
Strengthen direct leader-team member relationships and continuously improve HR service delivery.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring
Required
5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including support of a manufacturing or similarly fast-paced operating environment.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Broad HR generalist experience across associate relations, talent, staffing, performance management and employment practices.
Experience coaching leaders and translating business priorities into practical people solutions.
Experience delivering HR results through others, with strong judgment, communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and sensitive matters in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience leading and developing HR team members in food, consumer products or high-volume manufacturing.
Professional certification in Human Resources.
Experience strengthening direct employee relationships, engagement and positive workplace culture in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions/Environment
This role operates in office and manufacturing environments and requires regular onsite presence across both Horse Cave facilities, including periodic support outside standard business hours. The employee must follow applicable food and people safety guidelines/programs. Occasional travel is expected for HR and business meetings or development programs.
Supervisory Responsibility
Leads two HR Coordinators and one Site Administrator and is accountable for local HR operations outcomes delivered with onsite recruiting support and other HR partners.
