About the Role Rhoads Industries is seeking an HR Generalist to support our 2nd shift workforce with comprehensive human resources services, primarily for touch-labor operations. This role partners with operations to align HR practices with production goals and the company’s 100+ year legacy of leadership. What You'll Do

  • Act as a liaison between touch-labor employees and the operations management team.
  • Respond to day-to-day employee inquiries regarding benefits, compensation, attendance, and other general concerns.
  • Assist with the disciplinary process to ensure timely, consistent, and appropriate intervention in line with the company work rules and the union collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support and counsel employees in addressing workplace issues, mediating conflicts, and conducting workplace investigations to facilitate positive employee relations.
  • Help facilitate and coordinate employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor and track attendance, using HRIS and time-keeping systems to record time-off and related attendance events for payroll and billing purposes.
  • Assist in employee leave facilitation and tracking.
  • Analyze HR/operations data, prepare reports, monitor trends, and present findings to management for decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Assist with performance appraisal processes, provide guidance to managers, and help develop performance improvement plans to drive operations objectives.
  • Maintain employee personnel files/records.
  • Maintain/update the HRIS and other various operations systems, ensuring accurate data.
  • Generate reports and analyze data. What We're Looking For
  • Experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably supporting a touch-labor/manufacturing workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS and time-keeping systems; ability to monitor attendance and track leave.
  • Experience handling disciplinary processes and working with union CBAs.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills; ability to counsel employees and conduct workplace investigations.
  • Data-driven with the ability to prepare reports, analyze trends, and present findings to management.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential personnel files and ensure data accuracy in HRIS and related systems.
  • Ability to work on the 2nd shift in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Compensation & Benefits
