Overview
The Human Resources Director – Horse Cave Campus is the senior HR leader for Marzetti's largest manufacturing campus, supporting two manufacturing facilities representing more than half of the Supply Chain organization. As a member of the Supply Chain HR Leadership Team and a key HR voice with the Supply Chain Leadership Team, this role influences people strategy and business decisions across the broader Supply Chain organization.
As a strategic advisor to senior site and Supply Chain leaders, the HR Director brings a critical people perspective to business decisions and translates business priorities into talent, organization and workforce strategies that enable performance and growth. Leading an eight-person HR organization, this leader builds organizational capability, develops talent, leads change and fosters an environment where team members can contribute, grow and do their best work.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do

Campus People Strategy

Develop and lead the Horse Cave campus people strategy, establishing clear priorities and measures aligned with business and Supply Chain objectives.

Serve as a trusted advisor to the site leadership teams, bringing business insight, workforce data and sound judgment to key decisions.

Influence Supply Chain people priorities and decisions, bringing campus insights and perspectives that strengthen organizational performance across Supply Chain.

Regularly represent business and operational perspectives in the development, evaluation, and refinement of HR Center of Excellence programs and initiatives, influencing enterprise decisions related to talent, benefits, compensation, learning, culture, and employee experience.

Anticipate workforce and organizational needs and lead strategies that strengthen capability, performance and the employee experience.

Maintain a visible presence across both facilities, building trusted relationships and staying connected to the realities of the business and our team members.

Talent & Organizational Capability

Lead talent and workforce planning, including succession, talent assessment, retention, leadership development and critical capability needs.

Coach and challenge leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, team performance and accountability.

Lead organization design and the people aspects of business change, helping leaders navigate ambiguity and engage their teams through change.

Create an environment where different perspectives are heard, constructive challenge is encouraged, and teams continuously learn and improve.

Lead and develop an eight-person campus HR organization, building a collaborative, high-performing team with clear priorities and accountability.

Provide leadership on complex employee relations matters, investigations and employment practices, ensuring fair, consistent and thoughtful outcomes.

Partner across HR and the business to strengthen programs and practices while balancing enterprise consistency with campus needs.
Qualifications

What You'll Bring

Required

10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience partnering with senior operational leaders and translating business priorities into people, talent and organizational strategies.

Demonstrated leadership across talent management, organizational effectiveness, change, workforce planning and complex employee relations.

Experience leading and developing an HR team.

Strong business acumen, judgment, communication and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.

Preferred
-
HR leadership experience supporting complex or multi-site manufacturing operations.

Advanced professional certification in Human Resources.

Labor relations experience, including exposure to union environments.

Working Conditions/Environment
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Works in a normal office environment where the associate is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Leads an eight-person campus HR organization with five direct reports: one HR Manager and four HR Generalists. The HR Manager leads two HR Coordinators and one Site Administrator.
