Our client, a growing healthcare organization, is seeking an HR Business Partner to join their team in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role will serve as a key HR resource supporting both hourly and salaried employees across a 750-employee organization.

The HR Business Partner will focus heavily on employee relations while partnering with business leaders to support workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, and broader HR initiatives. This individual must be confident interacting with leadership, capable of navigating a fast-paced environment, and able to mentor junior HR staff. This position will primarily be onsite with an option to be remote 1 day per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic HR partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals

• Lead and manage employee relations matters, including coaching managers through workplace issues and policy interpretation

• Support performance management, employee engagement, and workforce planning efforts

• Use HR data and insights to identify trends, support retention strategies, and improve organizational effectiveness

• Partner on HR programs including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and change management initiatives

• Provide mentorship and day-to-day guidance to junior HR team members

• Build strong relationships across the organization and maintain a visible, credible HR presence with leaders and employees

• Progressive HR experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role

• Strong background handling employee relations issues in a fast-paced environment

• Experience advising leaders on performance management, coaching, and HR policy

• Strong communication, judgment, and relationship-building skills

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in private equity-backed organizations

• Healthcare industry experience is a plus

• Prior experience mentoring and supporting current HR staff
