Job title: HR Business Partner
About the Role The HR Business Partner will partner with the business area and HR colleagues to empower the organization to develop talent and leadership capabilities that deliver results today and for the future. This role supports Burberry's Northeast stores, East Coast outlets and Distribution Center.
What You'll Do
- Establish business strategies to enhance retention and development of key talent while minimizing attrition; use data to diagnose organization effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Analyze and report on business and employee performance; build credibility as a trusted advisor to regional cross-functional partners to drive team potential.
- Collaborate with leaders to develop strong partnerships, challenge assumptions, and provide coaching on people-related matters.
- Ensure legal compliance in alignment with brand values; manage employee relations cases with ER partners; upskill line managers through training on policies and guidelines.
- Manage relationships with unions/work councils as needed and resolve associate risks.
- Partner with the Senior Manager of Human Resources to design effective HR processes supporting strategic growth; ensure consistency and fairness in HR documentation and policies; conduct exit interviews.
- Support rewards and performance processes including annual reviews and merit decisions; identify market opportunities in compensation related to retention.
- Lead Talent (Development & Acquisition) activities: performance management, development plans, internal mobility, succession planning, collaboration with Learning & Development, interviewing senior-level candidates, and offers in partnership with talent teams.
- Facilitate onboarding for new managers; monitor probationary evaluations; train new hires on HR policies and Burberry values; conduct in-store trainings as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; at least 5 years of HR experience, including 2 years in a management role.
- Flexibility to travel up to 25%; ability to work in-store from multiple local locations within the market 80% of the work week.
- Demonstrated experience across HR functional areas; strong knowledge of state/federal employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels; strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; ability to influence without formal authority.
- Desire to support the retail population in a multi-site environment; ability to manage multiple complex issues and prioritize.
- Bi-lingual a plus (English & Spanish).
