Job Description HBMS is seeking a dedicated HR / Admin Officer to join their team and contribute to the smooth operation of their industrial environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously managing employee attendance, punctuality, and absenteeism. You will maintain accurate records, process leave requests, and escalate any persistent attendance issues to the HR Manager, ensuring compliance and operational continuity.
Your duties will extend to supporting general HR functions, including onboarding, maintaining personnel files, and assisting with employee relations and policy implementation. You will also play a key role in office administration, supporting filing, staff logistics, and inter-departmental communication.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, shifts, and absenteeism.
- Maintain attendance, timekeeping, leave, and absenteeism records.
- Follow up on unexplained or unauthorised absences.
- Verify leave, permission, late resumption, and early departure requests.
- Escalate persistent attendance issues to the HR Manager.
- Support corrective and disciplinary actions related to attendance.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files.
- Support onboarding, induction, probation monitoring, and HR documentation.
- Assist with employee relations, HR investigations, and policy implementation.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain HR trackers.
- Support office administration, filing, staff logistics, and communication across departments.
Qualifications
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years’ relevant HR/Admin experience in a factory setting.
- Experience in attendance management, timekeeping, workforce administration, or employee relations is an advantage.
- Experience in shift-based, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or site-based operations is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of attendance, leave, and absenteeism management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong record-keeping, reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee information responsibly.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee matters and escalate persistent attendance issues professionally.
