Position: Housekeeper Employment Type: On-Call Starting Pay: $17.50 per Hour

East Bay Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team on an on-call basis.

The Housekeeper plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other facility areas
• Follow established cleaning and infection-control procedures
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces as needed
• Empty trash and dispose of waste appropriately
• Clean and maintain floors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies
• Respond to spills and cleaning needs promptly
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in a safe and orderly manner
• Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and infection-control policies
• Report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
• Maintain a professional and respectful environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff
• Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred

• Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

• Dependable, punctual, and responsible

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to safely use cleaning products and housekeeping equipment

• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous attitude

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting as needed
