In this role, you’ll perform a variety of environmental services duties while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and quality throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Dusts furniture, woodwork, and equipment. Mops floors and polishes and cleans fixtures in all areas as needed. Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways, and public areas.
• Operates mechanical housekeeping equipment.
• Moves furniture as needed to perform cleaning procedures.
• Buffs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Removes waste and soiled linens from work areas according to established procedures.
• Performs cleaning procedures in patient rooms and prepares rooms for the next occupant. Follows proper isolation procedures when cleaning isolation rooms.
• Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.

Qualifications

• Less than high school. Less than one year experience in housekeeping
