About this role
About the Role The Housekeeper is responsible for regular cleaning and general upkeep of patient, public and office areas, and associated ancillary areas (such as nurse’s stations, restrooms, treatment rooms, lounges, etc.). This role helps maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across assigned locations.
What You'll Do
- Clean occupied and discharged patient rooms.
- Clean all associated ancillary areas of the assigned patient care unit.
- Respond to emergencies assigned by nursing or through Environmental Services.
- Maintain adequate cleaning supplies to complete the shift.
- Refill all paper and other supplies as needed.
- Clean carts and closets at end of shift; return borrowed equipment.
- Notify nursing supervisor when rooms are ready for new admissions.
- Notify EVS department secretary of any maintenance concerns.
- Empty sharps containers when 3/4 full.
- Maintain assigned area according to all departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide patient observation at the nurse's discretion and communicate changes to the nurse.
- May deliver supplies and equipment to various locations.
- Assist with onboarding of new employees as assigned.
- Work in multiple locations as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Education: N/A
- Licensure/Certification: California Driver License required if assigned to CC8443 EVS (Professional Office Buildings)
- Experience: Preferred housekeeping/janitorial experience
- Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner; ability to work independently and as a team member; knowledge of housekeeping equipment, procedures and products

- Salary range: $18.63 - $25.88 per hour
- Status: Full-time; 40 hours per week
