About Our Family
-
We're a busy, warm, and active household of 3 with a lot of heart and a lot going on. Both parents travel regularly for work and split time working from home when in town, so our schedule can shift week to week. We have a 3-year-old who keeps life fun and full of energy, two large, affectionate dogs, and two cats who are very much part of the family. Our home has a great indoor-outdoor flow, with a gated pool and a large backyard the dogs love. We have house cleaners every Friday, so we're looking for someone to fill the gaps — the day-to-day rhythm, the childcare backup, and the proactive household support that keeps everything running smoothly when we're heads-down in work or on the road.
-
We're looking for someone who becomes a trusted part of our home, not just someone checking boxes. Trust, warmth, and reliability matter greatly to us.
-
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
-
Proactive & Self-Motivated: You naturally anticipate household needs, take initiative, and tackle tasks without waiting for direction. You enjoy finding ways to make a family's day-to-day life easier.
-
Highly Organized & Systems-Minded: You love creating order, maintaining organized spaces, and developing simple, practical systems that keep a busy household running smoothly.
-
Trustworthy & Dependable: You are reliable, punctual, and consistent. You take pride in being someone a family can count on and feel completely comfortable welcoming into their home.
-
Warm, Nurturing & Great with Children: You have a natural connection with young children and bring a patient, playful, and caring approach to childcare. You can confidently manage routines, babysitting, and occasional overnight care.
-
A Genuine Animal Lover: You adore dogs and cats and are comfortable caring for multiple pets, including large, enthusiastic dogs. You happily incorporate pet care into your daily routine.
-
Flexible & Adaptable: You are comfortable shifting priorities, jumping into new tasks, and adjusting to the changing needs of a busy family. No two days need to look exactly alike!
-
Calm, Capable & Resourceful: You maintain a cool, collected demeanor, even when things get busy. You're a natural problem-solver who can confidently handle unexpected situations.
-
Detail-Oriented & Thorough: You notice the little things, from an empty fridge to a laundry basket that needs attention, and take pride in following tasks through to completion.
-
Professional & Respectful: You bring a friendly, approachable presence while maintaining appropriate boundaries and respecting the family's privacy. You understand how to provide meaningful support while maintaining a light footprint in the home.
-
A True Household Partner: You genuinely enjoy the variety of household management, from errands and laundry to meal prep, organization, and family support. You find satisfaction in making life easier for others and becoming a trusted, long-term part of a family's routine.
