About Our Family
-
We’re a busy Brooklyn household with two working parents and two young children, ages 5 and 1. We both have demanding jobs, and while we have wonderful support from our nanny, house cleaner, and meal prep cook, there’s still a lot of the day-to-day that falls on us. We’re looking for someone who can help us move beyond keeping things tidy on the surface and create a home that feels genuinely organized, thoughtful, and easier to manage.
-
We’d love to find someone who enjoys bringing order to a busy household, from creating better systems for toys, closets, and household supplies to keeping track of appointments, returns, errands, and the little things that tend to pile up. We’re looking for someone who thinks ahead, notices what’s coming next, and can help us make thoughtful decisions about what our home needs to run efficiently and simply.
-
Our home is active and full of moving parts, but we want it to feel calm, welcoming, and comfortable for everyone. We value someone who takes initiative, communicates well, and can work alongside our existing household team with care and respect. A great week with this person would mean the little things that tend to pile up, like returns, errands, and household tasks, are handled before they become a weekend to-do list. Our home feels organized, we have more time and energy to enjoy our kids, and Saturday mornings can be spent relaxing and recharging instead of catching up on everything we didn’t get to during the week.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For
-
You bring proven experience managing and organizing a private household. You understand that household management goes well beyond tidying up. You know how to create systems that are practical, visually thoughtful, and easy for a family to maintain. You have an eye for what a space needs, whether that means organizing toys, rotating items, coordinating donations, or researching shelves, bins, and other solutions for the family's approval.
-
You are highly organized, tech-savvy, and naturally proactive. You can manage household supply lists and ordering, review grocery and delivery orders to avoid duplicates, coordinate returns and errands, schedule appointments, arrange dry cleaning, and handle household cash pickups as needed. You think ahead about family needs and transitions, from researching new car seats to anticipating seasonal changes or upcoming household projects. You're comfortable using household accounts and technology, researching purchases, and setting up devices or systems when needed. Most importantly, you bring the executive function to keep track of moving pieces, prioritize what matters, and follow through without needing every task spelled out.
-
You are thoughtful, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with an established nanny and other household support. You understand how to take ownership of household organization without disrupting the nanny's routines or stepping into her role. You communicate clearly, use good judgment about when to act and when to check in, and enjoy making a family's life feel more manageable. You also enjoy using quieter periods for household projects and organization, ensuring your time is purposeful and the home continues to run smoothly.
