About Our Family:
-
We're a warm family of five living outside of Portland, with three young children, a dog, and a home that is equal parts lively and well-loved. Our days move fast — school drop-offs, nap schedules, afternoon pickups, and weeknight dinners all happen in quick succession, and we're genuinely trying to build a home that runs smoothly in the background so we can be more present with each other.
-
We love hosting. Our backyard and pool are a gathering spot for friends and family on weekends, and we enjoy putting on events — from casual Saturday hangouts to a holiday party we're planning and excited about. We also have ongoing renovation and project work happening, which means the house needs someone with a steady hand to keep things organized and reset despite the moving parts.
-
One parent owns and runs a business and works from a professional office. The other parent is largely home-based and manages a lot of the household's daily rhythm with the kids. We believe in working hard, keeping a tidy and calm home, and raising our children with a grounded sense of values.
-
We are intentional about how we spend our time and energy, and we are looking for steady, reliable support that allows us to be more present with our kids, tackle projects we actually enjoy, and stop playing catch-up on the basics.
-
Our household is warm, grounded, and values-driven. We care deeply about kindness, integrity, and creating a calm, organized environment where the kids can thrive.
Who You Are and What We're Looking For:
-
The right person for this role is self-directed, professional, and genuinely good at what they do. You take pride in a well-run home and find satisfaction in systems, order, and getting things done without being asked twice. You're the kind of person who can walk into a space, read a task list, and execute — no hand-holding, no need for check-ins, and no expectation of social time built into the workday.
-
You're warm and friendly by nature, but you have healthy professional boundaries. You respect privacy deeply, keep your phone put away while working. You're proactive enough to notice what needs doing even when it's not on the list, and thoughtful enough to communicate about it clearly and directly. You've worked in homes before, you understand the pace, and you genuinely love the work.
-
You communicate directly and keep things professional and approach this role as a trusted household professional.
-
Above all, you're accountable, receptive to feedback, and genuinely invested in being a trusted member of this family's support system.
