Reporting directly to the Deputy Managing Director, the successful candidate will hold full operational, commercial, and financial accountability for the property. This is a hands-on, live-in leadership role that requires strong business development acumen, staff supervision, strict cost control, and the ability to coordinate across all operational units—including Front Office, Bookings, Main Kitchen, Restaurant, Pool Bar, Swimming Pool, Laundry, and Gym.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Hotel Operations & Facility Management

  • Maintain 360-degree oversight of daily operations across guest rooms, food and beverage outlets, laundry, and leisure facilities.

  • Direct, supervise, and deploy staff across Front Office, Housekeeping, Main Kitchen, Restaurant, Pool Bar, Swimming Pool, Laundry, and Gym to ensure full operational coverage.

  • Enforce approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and service standards across all operational units.

  • Conduct daily property inspections of guest rooms, public areas, pool water treatment, gym equipment, and utility systems to identify operational weaknesses and resolve maintenance defects promptly.

  • Personally manage high-level escalations, serious guest complaints, VIP arrivals, and special guest requirements.

  • Monitor online and offline guest feedback, implement corrective action plans, and execute retention strategies to build repeat patronage.

  • Establish clear protocols for guest relation management, key handling, and lost-and-found items.

3. Financial, Inventory & Revenue Management

  • Review room occupancy metrics, Average Daily Rate (ADR), Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR), and daily revenue reports.

  • Enforce cash-handling protocols; monitor and approve all room discounts, complimentary services, refunds, and void transactions.

  • Track departmental budgets, control operating expenses (OPEX), energy/diesel consumption, and maintenance costs without compromising service quality.

  • Oversee linen, toiletries, guest consumables, and beverage inventories to eliminate wastage, spoilage, theft, and unauthorized usage.

4. Food & Beverage (F&B) Operations

  • Monitor operations across the restaurant, main kitchen, and pool bar to maintain strict food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.

  • Partner with F&B supervisors and kitchen leads to enforce portion control, evaluate menu planning, and monitor stock usage against actual sales.

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food sanitation procedures.

5. Business Development, Sales & Marketing

  • Formulate and execute local sales and marketing initiatives to increase room occupancy and facility bookings within the Ikotun-Egbe sub-market.

  • Attract corporate accounts, private clients, and business partners to drive consistent room, event, and F&B sales.

  • Expand revenue from leisure assets by monetizing gym memberships, swimming pool access passes, and poolside events.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to refine sales packages and promotional campaigns.

6. Team Supervision & Staff Administration

  • Lead, coach, and discipline supervisory leads and frontline employees to foster a accountable, service-driven work culture.
