Job title: Hospital Assistant II
About the Role The Hospital Assistant II at UCSF Medical Center (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Hyde Hospital) provides assistance and support to the imaging technologists and department. The role requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and to support the imaging team across locations.
What You'll Do
- Prepare patient for exam and assist with patient changes
- Assist technologist in room turnover and cleaning of equipment
- Provide transportation for patients to and from the radiology department
- Assist patient onto the imaging table when necessary
- Audit and distribute supplies and linen
- Transport equipment or lab specimens when required
- Promote department safety policies, including MR and radiation safety
What We're Looking For
- Required: High School Diploma
- Read and write English
- Flexibility in scheduling; ability to rotate shifts and cover weekends/holidays if necessary
- Preferred: Prior experience in a hospital acute care setting or imaging center
Nice to Have
- BLS – CPR certification
