About this role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive In-Home Caregiver to provide dedicated one-on-one care for a client in a wheelchair located in South Austin (near South I-35). **Job Title: In-Home Caregiver / Personal Care Attendant (Part-Time)
Location: Austin, TX (South I-35 corridor)
Position Type: Part-Time (17 hours and 45 minutes / week)
Schedule & Hours
- Total Weekly Hours: 17 hours and 45 minutes per week
- Work Type: Consistent part-time schedule (exact shift breakdown discussed during the interview)
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist client with daily personal care routines, including dressing and bathing assistance.
- Mobility Support: Provide attentive care and support for a client who uses a wheelchair.
- Medication Support: Provide timely medication reminders throughout the shift.
- Homemaking & Errands: Assist with basic household chores (light housekeeping, tidying, meal prep/cleanup) and assist with grocery shopping and local errands.
- Companionship: Maintain a respectful, supportive, and safe environment at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in home health, caregiving, or direct patient care preferred (experience with wheelchair transfers/mobility support is a strong plus).
- Reliable transportation to and from the South Austin / I-35 area for shifts and errands.
- Dependable, punctual, and compassionate demeanor.
- Clear background check clearance prior to hire.
- Ability to follow personalized care plans and communicate effectively.
