We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: HMO Desk Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the HMO Department and ensure that it runs smoothly.
• Ensure that all HMO patients receive the necessary authorisation codes before services are rendered.
• Ensure that claims for services provided to HMO patients are properly documented and submitted on time.
• Follow up on submitted claims and outstanding payments from HMOs.
• Communicate with HMO representatives to resolve issues relating to claims, authorisations, rejected services and payments.
• Review and reconcile claims to ensure that all services rendered are properly accounted for.
• Handle correspondence with HMOs and attend to enquiries or complaints when necessary.
• Coordinate HMO registration, partnership arrangements and the signing of agreements with new HMOs.
• Work closely with other hospital departments to ensure proper documentation and smooth service delivery to HMO patients.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Health Information Management/Health Records Management, Health Administration, Business Administration, Accounting or any related field.
• Previous experience working in an HMO unit, hospital billing or handling healthcare insurance claims will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle claims, maintain proper records and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
• Must be organised, responsible and able to work with minimal supervision.
